Shopify subprocessors

Customer personal data is initially processed by Shopify International Limited (Ireland), Shopify Inc. (Canada), or Shopify Commerce Singapore Pte. Ltd. (Singapore), depending on the location of the data subject. Customer personal data might then be transferred to other Shopify entities for storage and as necessary to provide our services. Transfers to Shopify entities will be covered by Binding Corporate Rules, once approved. Core subprocessors are subprocessors that we can't offer our services without. Additional subprocessors are subprocessors that might process customer personal data if those additional services are used by a merchant. For example, Shopify Capital Inc. might only process a merchant's customer personal data if the merchant participates in our Shopify Capital program.

Third-party subprocessors

Shopify might also use third-party subprocessors in order to vide our services. Core subproccessors are those that we can't offer our service without. Additional subprocessors might apply if additional services are used. For example, our fulfillment subprocessors will only process information if our Shopify Fulfillment Network is used. Transfers to third-party subprocessors are conducted under contract, as described in the Shopify & Data Transfers whitepaper.
